The static Inverter is connected to the 28 V DC network or the battery to supply electrical on-board systems with an AC voltage of 230 V AC at a selectable frequency of 35, 45, 50 or 60 Hz. The potential free three-phase square-wave voltage is regulated over the total range of load under varying input voltage conditions. The unit is capable to withstand overload and short circuit for a limited time duration. The integrated monitoring circuits verify the input voltage as well as the internal unit temperature to remain inside the acceptable limits and provide this status information to externally connected systems. The inverter is activated via an external release signal.
