Der Static Inverter wird am Gleichstromnetz oder der Batterie mit 28 V DC des Flugzeugs betrieben und versorgt die Bordsysteme mit einer Wechselspannung von 115 V AC bei einer Frequenz von 400 Hz wenn keine andere Wechselspannungsversorgung im Flugzeug vorhanden ist. Die Ausgangsspannung steht potenzialfrei zur Verfügung und wird im gesamten Lastbereich und bei unterschiedlichen Eingangsspannungen konstant ausgeregelt. Das Gerät ist für begrenzte Dauer überlastfähig und kurzschlußfest. Zwei eingebauter Lüfter sorgen für die Kühlung des Inverters über den gesamten zugelassenen Temperaturbereich. Die integrierte Überwachungselektronik überprüft die einwandfreie Funktion des Gerätes und stellt diese Statusinformation den angeschlossenen Systemen zur Verfügung.
